For Teens
Embrace the sweet relief of JOMO
We know growing up in today’s society comes with increasing challenges. We know the pressure many students feel of having to stay connected 24/7. We’re here to help assure you that it’s okay to take a break, to embrace the sweet relief of JOMO, and to help today’s students think critically about their online choices before they post, tweet, snap, comment, or follow. Every action made online can (and will be) seen by your potential employers, colleges, trade schools, and will follow you for years to come.
There are three simple things you can do RIGHT NOW to help feel better about the pressures of social or digital media.
Unfollow anyone that isn’t bringing value into your life!
Re-evaluate your friends list. Take a look at who you’ve invited to see every aspect of your online presence.
Give yourself permission to pause.
Your voice matters!
To ensure we are making the biggest impact on our community, our programs are driven by students themselves. We work in collaboration with the Munroe-Meyer Institute to observe trends and changes in students’ behaviors as a result of their online activities. Thank you for taking the time to complete our social and digital media survey to help guide our programming!
Help is close by.

Supporting Children After the Suicide of a Classmate
We know there’s no way we can make the suicide of a student less upsetting. It’s a very painful thing for kids — and the adults who love them — to experience. But we also know that there are things that you can do to help young people process their feelings and thoughts in a healthy way. Here are some pointers that we hope will be helpful in responding to this loss.
